My sister and I planned a baby shower for one of our nieces. We made the decision to have it in the fellowship area of the local church because of the fact that it was a large guest list. We decided to use our presents for the baby shower party decorations. I had purchased a pink and white baby blanket, which we draped over the side of the cradle. We pinned a number of rattles and other baby toys to the blanket with diaper pins. We then displayed the little outfits that my sister had purchased. We finished the baby shower decorations for the gift table by placing a big stuffed bear into the bassinet. It is so much fun to decorating for a baby shower!

For the buffet table we had an arrangement of fresh-cut flowers from the local florist. She used soft pink carnations, baby's breathe and daisies for the arrangement. We determined that no other baby shower decorations needed to be put on this table. We did have pink napkins that we set on this table, along with a cake that was ornamented with a stork holding a small doll in a pink frosting blanket.

We had also ordered a corsage for our niece and one for every of the new grandmothers to be. We felt that the room looked very nice and we would not have to spend a great deal of time cleaning up baby shower party decorations because they would all be sent home as gifts to our niece.

We had a great turn out for the baby shower party. My niece received several very nice presents. She was glad that we had the shower in a space that was not cramped. As she progresses with the pregnancy she is feeling more claustrophobic. Within 30 moments after the baby shower was over the fellowship area was cleaned up and we were on our way home.
